Magdalena Pederin: You can hear me
The exhibition of the multimedia artist Magdalena Pederin deals with the influence of the technical environment on the individual and the society and vice versa.
The exhibition Svatko od vas me čuje / You Can Hear Me of the multimedia artist Magdalena Pederin consists of four works created in the period between 2006 and 2018: Glas iz zvučnika/The Voice from the Loudspeaker (2006), Krug/The Circle (2008), Razmak između riječi je gdje se nalazim sada/Space Between the Words is Where I Am Now (2015) and Ekranizaciju telefonskog imenika 1988.-2018./ The Adaptation of a Phone Book 1988-2018 (2018). In these works the artist questions the impact of technological environment on an individual and society and vice versa. In this situation, technology is a mediator – we hear through it, we can record ourselves, we can be listened to and we can ponder upon sound reaches us.
