You are invited to join us on April 10th at 7:00 PM for the grand, public, (NO)MAGICal OPENING of the circus season in the CirkoBalkana tent!
We've prepared a special 3-in-1 event – a show, pizza, and a DJ – all in one Thursday evening, as an introduction to a two-month circus adventure filled with performances, education, training, and great company!
The legendary circus troupe My!Laika Kunst Cirque is returning to Zagreb! The Zagreb audience might remember them from their show PopCorn Machine, which made them the laureates of Jeunes Talents de Cirque (now circusnext) in 2010. This time, they are coming as a dynamic trio to perform NO MAGIC.
The show starts precisely at 7:00 PM in the CirkoBalkana circus tent.

Three acrobats take spectacle to the extreme, playing with their bodies and movements with cold precision and an insatiable love for special effects. Yet, within this harmony, a crack appears—a deep irony that transforms their act into a chaotic yet carefully crafted performance.
The effects lose their element of surprise but not their power to astonish, as you, the audience, witness a grand display of absurdity.
By creating their own sound and visual effects reminiscent of Duchamp’s work, they simultaneously deny his existence, insisting he died in 1968. Their tricks are not meant to amaze with skill but to confuse with their banal and unexpected logic—perhaps even to shock, bewilder, or simply make you laugh.
Randomness becomes the rule, the line between real and fake blurs before your eyes, and what begins as a parody becomes serious. Unexpected bursts of laughter may cause discomfort, and the performers take no responsibility for any lasting confusion—you are advised to consult a doctor or therapist if necessary.

DJ BEZUM – for a dance-fueled digestion!
While you enjoy your pizza bites, why not hit the dance floor? The legendary DJ BEZUM will keep the vibes high with his mind-bending beats!
Better known as Miron Milić, an artist, illustrator, and graphic designer from Vinkovci, DJ BEZUM will take us on a musical journey ranging from Pakistani surf rock, Turkish psych disco-folk, Afrobeat, reggae, Egyptian psych surf, free jazz, post-disco, to psychobilly. In other words:
"Global B hits for the local C crowd!"
This is undoubtedly a (UN)MAGICAL night not to be missed!
