At the exhibition on the occasion of 20 years of continuous publication, the Editorial Board of Novosti, independent Serbian weekly, brings 20 stories on the life of Serbs in Croatia through texts written by its journalists and photographs by Davor Konjikušić.
The independent Croatian artist Siniša Labrović will make a guest appearance with his installation Navlažena Domovina/Wet Homeland and the quiz Find a Serbian Woman! that tests one of the most famous Serbian skills – the ability of mimicry.
If one puts a Serbian woman next to a female or even male Croat they will find it difficult to find distinctive characteristics that distinguish her Serbism from someone else's Croatism. An inexperienced or disinterested eye would say “it's all the same to me“. We will therefore check to see whether Croats still possess the instinct and knowledge to spot these small but crucial differences. It is, of course, a prize quiz.
