Sabina Mikelić: Beyond the Choir

Cinematographies of Resistance is the programme of the Museum of Contemporary Art that features international film artists who create on the intersection of strategies and practices of contemporary art and film by combining the expressive possibilities of art cinema, film essay and openness to experiment. Sabina Mikelić earned an MA in Animated Film and New Media from the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb, after which she moved to the Netherlands where she graduated from the Netherlands Film Academy. The Croatian audience is primarily familiar with her films created at the intersection of documentary and experimental film characterized by her distinct signature of blurring the boundaries of the film medium in search of the roots of her own identity.
