Picture of Sound 4
The radio show "Picture of Sound", which is broadcast on Croatian Radio’s Third Programme, is a kind of production platform and gallery but on the radio; an experimental and exhibition space for the works of contemporary visual and multimedia artists who use sound as a constitutive element.
The art of sound, produced by the Picture of Sound, emerged from the context of post/conceptual art, which in this case, following its analyticity towards its production and presentation conditions, used the same procedure in the medium of radio. This has opened up the possibility of activating a much wider public space than is the case with museums and galleries.
