Tin Dožić: Dromomania
Dromomania is a term used in the mid-19th century to describe the psychiatric diagnosis of the so-called "pathological tourism".
Today, in the age of mass tourism development and commodification of travel, dromomania seems to be something desirable, and the desire to travel or the so-called wanderlust becomes yet another image-generating activity. Tin Dožić's installation looks for wondrous relationships between the experience of reality and the mental health of the individual (the artist), the technosphere and digital spatiality, and wild landscapes, hills, mountains and rivers.
