"Panacea /( Songs and Potion" falls into the domain of experimental new media art, which, through interdisciplinary media methodology, tries to implement the scientific technique of bioremediation into its practice.
Bioremediation is the use of either naturally occurring or deliberately introduced microorganisms that consume and break down environmental pollutants in order to clean water or soil. The work itself integrates the methods and discourses of bio art, as well as scientific methods, and as such encourages a dialogue between science, technology, self-sustainable development and art. The work is realized as a multimedia event that shows the results of the bioremediation research process in the City of Zagreb.
