Vesna Mačković: Krleža, Stand in Line!
Using performers’ voices and an iPad looper with effects, the author, Vesna Mačković, creates a live voice, sound and text experiment on the topic of invisibility of artists.
The performers use the text imposed by the author, but twist and shift it according to their own will. Despite and regardless of this performers’ disobedience, the author still manipulates their voices. Not even performers themselves know for sure what will come out when they open their mouth and utter a sound. And where is the artist in all this? S/he has been invited, has arrived on time, but nobody notices her/him. Krleža, stand in line! Snacks have been served. You are all invited!
