Call for Applications – Solitude Exchange Network in 2025

Pogon in collaboration with Akademie Schloss Solitude invites authors from Croatia – artists, curators, architects, designers, and others – who approach urban issues in an innovative way through their practical, theoretical, research, artistic, or interdisciplinary work to apply for a three-month residency at Akademie Schloss Solitude.

Akademie Schloss Solitude is a renowned German institution that has been running an international transdisciplinary residency program since 1990, connecting more than 1,400 young artists from over 120 countries.
The exchange of artists with Akademie Schloss Solitude takes place within the Solitude Exchange Network that the Akademie initiated in 2002. Since 2009, through its partnership with Pogon, Croatia has also participated in this network.
Residencies last for three months. Candidates for the residency in Stuttgart are selected through an annual public call for applications. Based on the received applications, the Residency Advisory Board, composed from the representative of the Museum of Contemporary Art and the former Solitude fellows, selects a minimum of 3 potential candidates for the shortlist. The final selection is made by Akademie Schloss Solitude.
