CIE BAL: Fil Fil
FIL-FIL is a performance that invites a shared experience for children and adults—where, this time, the youngest might help the older ones let go and enter the world of imagination.
Children and adults, three acrobats are waiting for you!
Take a seat around them and experience a gentle yet powerful moment—from the perspective of those “only three apples tall.” In a circular setting and in close proximity to the audience, two acrobats and a tightrope walker play with simple objects, transforming them into adventurous, absurd, surprising, and playful situations.
Together with author and director Jeanne Mordoj, the artists drew inspiration from observing children aged 3 to 6—their movements, but also their mischievous spirit, freedom, and witty, slightly rebellious view of the world. From this research emerge imaginative scenes: the tightrope begins to “waltz,” T-shirts are exchanged and transformed into unusual creatures, and play and imagination continuously expand and evolve.
After the performance (19:00–20:30), join us for a family workshop!
An acrobatics workshop with Julia, Hichem, and Aloïs, artists from the performance FIL-FIL, is designed for children, young people, and their parents, guardians, and caregivers.
Through play and shared exploration of movement, participants will try simple acrobatic balances and basic wire techniques. A special focus is placed on imagination and collective play—using a large T-shirt from the performance, participants will create unusual bodies, playful characters, strange animals, and fantastic creatures.
The workshop encourages trust, cooperation, and free expression through movement, offering a fun and creative experience for all generations.
