Justyna Górowska as the AI Water Nymph WetMeWild: Hydrosex Call

The character has been developed across various projects since 2017 and represents a hybrid interpretation of a mythical figure from Slavic mythology. In her previous works (including AR applications, performances, photography, and video), the artist has addressed themes related to water pollution, ecosexuality, and hydrofeminism, referencing the mythical environments inhabited by nymphs.

For the performance, a digital avatar based on a 3D scan of the artist was created, offering a new immersive dimension of the ongoing initiative. In the underwater digital world designed for the avatar, participants can engage in real-time interaction and conversation with WetMeWild, diving into topics at the intersection of art, technology, and activism. During these dialogues, issues such as water conservation, environmental pollution by microplastics, biodiversity loss, and the impact of AI technologies on ecosystems are discussed.

Justyna Górowska (she/they) is a hydrofeminist and performance artist engaged in interdisciplinary projects at the intersection of art, technology, and social activism. In 2017, she adopted the pseudonym WetMeWild, focusing on environmental challenges related to water and utilizing AR and VR technologies in her work. She collaborates with collectives such as Nerdka and the duo cyber_nymphs (with Ewelina Jarosz), with whom she released the Hydrosexual Manifesto in 2023. She also curates the BHA (Blue Humanities Archive) project, an online platform combining art and ecological education about water. Her work has been exhibited in Berlin, Jakarta, Warsaw, and New York. In 2020, she earned a PhD from the University of the Arts in Poznań.
