Koraljka Begović: The Happiness of Mr. J.
[POGONATOR 2024] This dance performance is about the acute state of burnout, about the moment when the inner and outer worlds diverge, when the system breaks, but the individual does not recognize it yet or has difficulty recognizing it.
Inspired by the case study "The Happiness of Burnout", by Finn Janning, about successful visual artist Jeppe Hein who experiences burnout at the age of thirty five, the performance translates elements of physical and mental symptoms and consequences of burnout into dance movement.
