Sanja Latinović and Ranko Đanković: "Movements: White"
Movements: White (2012) is a stage performance by Sanja Latinović, in collaboration with Ranko Đanković, followed by a conversation moderated by curator Neva Lukić.
The execution of this performance requires the creation of a scene in which the participants are hidden as in a puppet theater – their limbs become a kind of puppets that obediently transfer sand from one end of the artificial wall to the other. The hands are the messengers, and the feet are the receivers – a glass is placed in their wings on which the sand is deposited, which constantly slides through the fingers as the fingers transfer it. Because sand is impossible to hold or grasp, something is constantly lost the moment two hands touch, and the question arises to what extent something can be exchanged at all.
