Tiago Cadete: Concerto
An empty audience is the stage for a concert of multiple voices of Latin American migrants living in Portugal and Spain.
Their testimonies form a score that reveals contemporary migration processes in juxtaposition with colonial history. Who are these new migrants? And what desires do they have when they migrate to the country that colonized theirs? An inversion of the stage and the audience, giving voice to those who normally watch. The audience becomes a stage, and the stage becomes an audience. A concert without a body, a ghostly concert of voices.
